HostGrower does not offer a standalone email-only product. Email hosting is included as part of every Web Hosting plan — so if you need professional email addresses on your domain, a Web Hosting plan is the right starting point. You get everything you need to run email at any scale, alongside full hosting for your website.
Email Included in Web Hosting Plans
Every Web Hosting plan includes a set number of mailboxes on your domain. The number and size of mailboxes depends on the plan you choose:
| Plan | Mailboxes | Per Mailbox | Monthly | Annual |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Green | 15 | 1 GB | £4.99/mo | £49.90/yr |
| Green Plus | 96 | 3 GB | £9.99/mo | £99.90/yr |
| Green Ultra | Unlimited | 10 GB | £14.99/mo | £149.90/yr |
Annual billing saves two months — equivalent to approximately 17% compared to paying monthly. See full plan details on the Web Hosting page.
Email Features
All mailboxes on HostGrower Web Hosting plans come with a comprehensive set of features managed through StackCP:
Access Protocols
- IMAP — synchronises your inbox across all devices; recommended for most users
- POP3 — downloads email to a single device and removes it from the server
- SMTP — for sending email from any mail client or application
Security & Authentication
- DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) — digitally signs outgoing emails so recipients can verify they genuinely came from your domain, reducing the chance of messages being flagged as spam
- SPF (Sender Policy Framework) — specifies which servers are authorised to send email on behalf of your domain
- DMARC — builds on DKIM and SPF to give receiving servers a policy for handling emails that fail authentication
- Advanced virus scanning — incoming emails are scanned for malware and viruses before delivery
- Intelligent spam filtering — spam is automatically identified and filtered before it reaches your inbox
- SSL/TLS encryption — all mail connections use encrypted protocols (IMAP over port 993, SMTP over port 465 or 587)
Routing & Forwarding
- Email forwarders — automatically forward email from one address to another (e.g. forward
info@yourdomain.co.ukto a personal Gmail) - Catch-all address — any email sent to an unrecognised address on your domain is caught and delivered to a designated mailbox, so nothing gets lost
- Mailing lists — create distribution lists that deliver a single email to multiple recipients
- Auto-responders — set automatic replies for when you are unavailable or out of office
Management
- Detailed mail logging — view a full delivery log for all email sent and received through your account, useful for diagnosing delivery issues
- Mail logs — check whether a specific email was delivered, bounced, or deferred
- Webmail — access your inbox from any browser without needing a mail client configured
- Multiple aliases — create additional email addresses that all deliver to the same mailbox (e.g.
hello@,sales@, andsupport@all going to one inbox)
