Your My HostGrower Client Area is your central hub for managing everything related to your hosting account — from ordering new services and managing existing ones, to handling billing, domain transfers, and getting support. This guide walks you through every section of the Client Area so you can make the most of your account.
Order Services
The Order Services section lets you purchase new products and add-ons directly from within your account. You don't need to visit the main website — everything is available right here.
Order Web Hosting
Browse and purchase our standard web hosting plans. Whether you're launching your first website or moving an existing one to HostGrower, this option takes you through our plan selection and checkout process. All plans include free SSL, daily backups, and UK-based servers.
Order WordPress Hosting
Our WordPress Hosting plans are specifically optimised for WordPress websites, with pre-installed WordPress, automatic updates, and enhanced performance settings. If you're running a WordPress site, this plan type is the recommended choice over standard web hosting.
Register Domains
Search for and register a new domain name directly from your account. We support a wide range of TLD extensions including .co.uk, .com, .uk, .net, .org, and many more. Domains registered through HostGrower are automatically linked to your account for easy management.
Transfer Domain Names
Already own a domain registered elsewhere? You can transfer it to HostGrower to manage everything from one place. You'll need the EPP/Auth code from your current registrar before starting the transfer. Most transfers complete within 5–7 days.
Order Timeline Backups
Timeline Backups is our premium add-on service that provides granular, point-in-time restoration of your files and databases. Unlike standard daily backups, Timeline Backups allow you to roll back to specific moments throughout the day. This is especially useful for e-commerce stores and frequently updated websites.
Order Email Quota Upgrade
If your current hosting plan's email storage allowance is running low, you can purchase an Email Quota Upgrade to increase the storage limit for your mailboxes. This is done without any downtime or changes to your existing emails.
Order Additional Services
This section lists any other available products and services that may not fall under standard hosting or domains — such as professional email migration, website setup assistance, custom SSL certificates, and more. Availability may vary based on your current plan.
Manage Services
The Manage Services section gives you direct access to all your active products and services. From here you can view your hosting accounts, manage your domains, and check on any pending transfers.
Hosting
Clicking Hosting shows you all your active hosting packages. For each package, you can:
- View package details (plan name, renewal date, billing cycle)
- Access your StackCP control panel directly
- Manage addon domains and subdomains
- Request upgrades or downgrades
- View your server details (IP address, nameservers, FTP credentials)
- Request cancellation if needed
Each hosting package tile also shows its current status — Active, Suspended, or Pending.
Domains
The Domains section lists all domain names registered or transferred under your account. For each domain you can:
- View registration and expiry dates
- Manage DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.)
- Update nameservers
- Lock or unlock your domain
- Request an EPP/Auth code for outbound transfers
- Enable or disable auto-renewal
- View and update WHOIS contact details
Pending Domain Transfers
If you've initiated an inbound domain transfer, you can track its progress here. The transfer process typically goes through the following stages:
- Initiated — Transfer request submitted to the registry
- Awaiting Confirmation — Waiting for approval from the losing registrar
- In Progress — Transfer is being processed at registry level
- Completed — Domain is now under your HostGrower account
You'll receive an email notification at each stage. If a transfer takes longer than 7 days, please open a support ticket and we'll investigate on your behalf.
My Account
The My Account section covers all personal and billing settings tied to your HostGrower account.
Security Details
This is where you can change your account password and manage your security preferences. We strongly recommend:
- Using a strong, unique password at least 12 characters long
- Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for an extra layer of protection
- Reviewing your active sessions and revoking any you don't recognise
If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact our support team.
Edit Contact Details
Keep your contact information up to date to ensure you receive all account notifications, invoices, and renewal reminders. This section allows you to update:
- Full name and company name
- Email address (used for login and all communications)
- Phone number
- Billing address
Invoices
The Invoices section provides a full history of all charges and payments on your account. From here you can:
- View all past invoices (paid and unpaid)
- Download invoices as PDFs for your records
- Pay any outstanding invoices directly
- See a breakdown of charges per service
VAT is applied at the current UK rate of 20% to all invoices. Your VAT number will appear on invoices if provided in your contact details.
Custom Work Quotes
If you've requested bespoke development, design, or migration work from our team, any formal quotes we raise for you will appear here. Each quote shows:
- A description of the proposed work
- The quoted price (excluding VAT)
- Quote expiry date
- Accept or decline options
Accepting a quote will automatically generate an invoice for the agreed amount.
Payment Methods
Manage your saved payment methods for automatic renewals and quick checkout. We currently accept:
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- PayPal
- Bank transfer (for annual plans over a certain threshold)
You can add multiple payment methods and set a default for automatic billing. Removing a card will not affect any existing active subscriptions until the next billing cycle.
Renewals
The Renewals section gives you a clear view of all upcoming renewal dates across your services and domains. From here you can:
- See renewal dates for all active services at a glance
- Toggle auto-renewal on or off per service
- Change the billing cycle (monthly, annual, etc.) where available
We send renewal reminder emails 30 days, 14 days, and 3 days before each renewal date. Make sure your payment method is up to date to avoid any service interruptions.
Notifications
Control how and when HostGrower contacts you. You can manage your notification preferences for:
- Invoice and payment notifications
- Domain renewal reminders
- Service suspension warnings
- Maintenance and downtime announcements
- Promotional emails and product updates
We recommend keeping billing and security notifications enabled at all times.

The Customer Support section connects you with our team and gives you access to self-help resources.

Support Database
The Support Database is a searchable collection of common questions, how-to guides, and troubleshooting articles. Before opening a ticket, we recommend searching the database — many common issues (such as DNS propagation, email configuration, and WordPress errors) are covered with step-by-step solutions.
